The second Mercy on the Mall in Skycourt Shopping Centre, Shannon, took place on 8th December 2016. Bishop Fintan Monahan, Bishop of Killaloe, and 20 priests made themselves available in the shopping mall between 1pm and 6pm. The bishop and all priests were kept engaged with people, the majority of whom wanted to avail of the Sacrament of Confession. In some instances queues were formed as people waited with their shopping trolleys for a priest to become available. St. Conaire’s School choir were on hand to entertain the shoppers with a selection of Christmas carols and seasonal songs. Our thanks to Skycourt management, Bishop Fintan, all the priests who came to Shannon and made themselves available. A special thanks to the people of Shannon and surrounding area who made the second Mercy on the Mall such a success.
