The day began with the annual Blessing of the Shamrock by Canon Brendan O’Donoghue in SS. John & Paul Jubilee Garden. Members of the 22nd battalion provided Military Honours at the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day Mass. Gaelscoil Donnacha Rua joined with the senior Choir in celebrating the 12.15pm Mass and participating in the Liturgy which embraced both languages. St. Patrick’s Day parade was the main feature in the afternoon, this year led by Wolfe Tones Na Sionna who are celebrating their Golden Jubilee. Our thanks to Joe Buckley for photos.
