Death of Eamon Gaynor R.I.P

Published on September 24, 2019

It is with great sadness that we have learned about the death of Eamon Gaynor, who served in our Parish as Curate 1967-1969.  Eamon, Clonakilty and formerly of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, was a pillar in the life of the establishment of our Parish with his involvement in projects such as Mary Immaculate Church and his ministry to the families who moved to Shannon in the early days. In addition to Parish ministry, he was a highly respected member of Shannon Golf Club in his early years.

We give thanks to God for the ministry of Eamon during his time as a Priest with us and we offer our sympathies to his wife Tessa and his extended family, who will sadly miss him.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on tomorrow (Wednesday 25th September) from 3pm followed by removal at 5pm to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clonakilty. Co. Cork.
