Thank you for your continued support to your parish. We are delighted so many connect with us with the Parish Masses and Morning Prayer on the webcam, parish radio, and Facebook live feeds. We also opened the Parish Office this week, and great to see so many call in. You are very welcome to contact the office for Mass bookings, baptisms, and general parish queries.
Thank you for your Sunday donations which were left in the Church’s and Parish Office, and those who use the online donate button on the parish website. The Priests’ Summer Collection which was scheduled for June 20/21 last, will now take place at all weekend Masses on July 17-19th. The envelope which many like to use, will be distributed to each home with the Shannon Diary leaflet on July 10th.
On Monday next June 29, our Church’s are permitted to resume public Masses, but presently the numbers allowed are 50 indoor, and 200 outdoor. This weekend we will be announcing the Sunday Mass schedule for the month of July only. The schedule will be as creative and imaginative as possible to ensure you feel comfortable returning to Sunday Mass. Daily Weekday Masses from Monday to Friday will not resume for the moment, but will continue to be broadcast on our social media and webcam.
Finally, a word to our Confirmation and First Communion Families. We look forward to celebrating Confirmation in the coming weeks, and we thank your school’s for their great work, support and commitment. To the First Communion families we want to reassure you when school’s reopen we will celebrate your child’s special day, and you will receive plenty of notice when it will be celebrated.
